Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham will treat Liverpool game like Real Madrid
Tottenham will be treating Liverpool like they were Real Madrid in the Super Sunday
Spurs host Jurgen Klopp's team at the weekend, live on Sky Sports Premier League, off the back of an impressive 1-1 midweek draw with the La Liga giants in the Champions League.
Hugo Lloris was outstanding in goal to help secure a point at the Bernabeu and the Tottenham boss believes his team's display demonstrates their ability to mix it with Europe's elite, as attention turns back to the league.
"Now we are going to play like we played against Real Madrid," Pochettino said.
"I think it's a very good experience for us to play every single game in the next three weeks.
"If you are going to play a final or a competition that commands a lot of energy... it's a period to learn a lot for us."
Tottenham will be looking to make it four league wins in a row when they take on the Reds at Wembley.
Liverpool's defensive capabilities have come under scrutiny, but Pochettino says his team are preparing for a tough encounter against the side that last week held Manchester United to a goalless draw at Anfield.
"I think every single game is important," he added. "They're an amazing team with a great manager.
"Of course it will be a very, very tough game, but our mentality is to try to win. It's not only to play Sunday, we have the Carabao Cup against West Ham. That's another derby.
"We have a lot of good games, a lot of exciting games, but we are taking it step by step and now it's Liverpool.
